The Autism Society River Cities was founded in 1982 by Dr. Ruth Christ Sullivanand is a local affiliate of the Autism Society of America. We serve the families of Eastern Kentucky, Southern Ohio & Western West Virginia.

Rally For Autism T-Shirt Design Contest
The 1st Annual Participant Shirt Design Contest is happening in December and ends on January 9, 2015. Judging will take place on the evening of January 16, 2015.
Designs should utilize any or all of the folowing colors: Red, Yellow, Blue, White, Black. One of these colros will be the shirt color (artist's choice) while the other colors will be printed. The Rally Puzzle Logo may be incorporated into your design but it is not required.
Swim Party
One of the favorites is a pool party in August at the Huntington YMCA Kennedy Center. The pool is rented exclusively for individuals with autism, their families, friends, and care providers. Activities are centered around swimming, games, eating, and just having fun in the sun. Life guards are on duty for the event.
Halloween Party
In October we dress up like ghosts and goblins at our annual Halloween party. We play games, provide crafts, and as always enjoy a delicious holiday meal. The kids enjoy walking away with costume prizes and goodie bags. The party is held at the Autism Service’s Center building on Commerce Avenue.

Twice a year we rent “Pump Up The Fun” in Barboursville. Everyone enjoys playing on the variety of inflatables the facility has to offer. We have pizza (provided by Papa Johns ), along with snacks, and beverages for all. This two hour event is a wonderful way to connect with others in the community who are affected by autism.
